EMT-Basic
Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency calls and provide care to injured or ill patients prior to transportation to a health care facility. EMEDCO provides a 120 hour educational experience following the DOT curriculum and the guidelines established by the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
Excellent instruction and intensive hands-on experiences give the student the confidence in making the life and death decisions in collaboration with a medical director and others in the EMS setting. EMEDCO is recognized as a leader in successful certification of their students.
Class Prices
The price for EMT-Basic training is $750 along with the certification fees.
EMT-Basic Certification Fees
- There is a $145 Resident fee.
- There is a $180 Non-Resident fee. Please note, you are considered a non-resident if, within the last 5 years, you have lived outside of Utah. A finger-printing with the application is required.
- This fee is seperate from your tuition and is used for testing and application processing. A check or order money needs to be made out to BEMS. The fee is due at the time of your registration.
- Also, you need to have documentation of having a TB test within the last year, make sure to bring this to your orientation.
